Every account of Jesus is an opportunity to see how he responded to the struggles and opportunities of life, and to learn from the wisdom he imparted. From the perspective of faith, Jesus' life, death and resurrection bring us hope, for his grace and mercy lead us to abundant life.
Throughout his ministry, Jesus performed many miracles. His healings of physical ailments are well-known, such as his healing of the man with leprosy in Luke 5:12-14. However, Jesus also performed miracles for spiritual healing, such as his transformative conversation with a Samaritan woman in John 4:4-42. In addition, Jesus also performed miracles of nature, such as calming a storm at sea and multiplying food to feed a large crowd. All of these miracles were signs of the power of Jesus to bring a new life and hope to those who put their faith in him.
Many of Jesus' teachings are recorded in the form of parables. One of the most well-known parables is the Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). In this parable, Jesus teaches us to show mercy and compassion to those in need, even if they are of a different background or faith. Other parables, such as the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) and the Parable of the Sower (Luke 8:4-8), teach us to show love to those who have made wrong choices, and to remain faithful and hopeful no matter the circumstances.

Through examining these stories, we can draw our own conclusions on how we can live faithfully and wisely within our present cultural and spiritual context.
